More photos on our About page.

WE ARE BACK! Our Annual Purple Heart Banquet is Back for 2023!

This will be the 14th Annual Purple Heart Banquet and once again, we will be at Richland Creek Community Church. Our Annual Banquet is an incredible way to pay tribute to any recipient of the Purple Heart. A refreshingly patriotic event, anyone in the community is welcome to attend or volunteer at the Banquet. Mark your calendar and make your plans now! Delivering the keynote and her compelling first-hand story will be Purple Heart recipient, former 507th POW, and honored guest, Jessica Lynch.

Jessica Lynch is a former United States Army Private First Class (PFC) and a former prisoner of war. On March 23, 2003, she was serving as a unit supply specialist with the 507th Maintenance Company when her convoy was ambushed by Iraqi troops. Lynch was seriously injured during the attack and taken prisoner by Iraqi soldiers. Ten US soldiers were killed in the ambush. Seven other soldiers were wounded. Lynch’s subsequent recovery by US Special Operations Forces on April 1, 2003, was the first successful rescue of an American prisoner of war since World War II and the first ever of a woman.
