This banquet is held every year the week of National Purple Heart Day and is free for Purple Heart recipients and their families. The event is open to the public. All are encouraged to buy tickets, enjoy dinner, a speaker, and meet our heroes.

The Wall That Heals, a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, along with a mobile Education Center, came to Wake Forest on October 18 – 21, 2018 at the E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road, and was open 24 hours a day and was free to the public. The Wall That Heals honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed forces in the Vietnam War and bears the names of the more than 58,000 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam.

Founded in 2009, the WF Purple Heart Foundation honors men and women who fought in all U.S. military conflicts and were bestowed with the Purple Heart medal.
